Village of the Arts
A celebration of arts in Orillia.

The ODAC Annual Awards 
Three annual arts awards that honour individuals or groups in the Orillia area who have made outstanding contributions to local culture and the arts.

Hot Food Cool Art 
An annual fundraiser featuring local food, art and entertainment.

The All-Ontario Open Juried Art Show in cooperation and partnership with the Orillia Museum of Art and History

Orillia Cares - A community-wide fundraising effort 
Fundraising for the Haiti relief fund, a cooperative effort involving the City of Orillia, St. Paul’s United Church, the Orillia Performing Arts Forum and other individuals. This large-scale effort resulted in $19,500 generated for earthquake disaster relief.

The Village of the Arts Juried Art Show

Starry Night Studio & Gallery Tour
A summer evening when local galleries and businesses remain open late to encourage the community to browse and discover the creative talents in Orillia.

Christmas Creatives
A collection of local artisans cooperatively selling their work during the Christmas season.

Painting and other professional development workshops

Black Light Theatre
Youth at-risk are afforded the opportunity to express their opinions and concerns with live theatre.

Photo Voice 
“At risk youth” attempt to effect social change in our community through the use of imagery, photography, and commentary.  The youth capture and illuminate life from their perspective.

Hospice Orillia’s silent auction fundraiser

U’th Ink
Youth sharing their artistic voice within the community. Professional playwrights and arts facilitators mentor youth in writing, reciting and recording their own short play about a physical space in their community.

Member Support:
Electronic and postal dissemination of information concerning member activities.
Meeting space for many member groups.
Member of the Cultural Roundtable - A group that has representatives from various event committees and individuals from the City of Orillia.
Public Art Project - "Brushing up the Library" - A community art project to "beautify" the library construction site.
Partnership with the Mariposa Folk Foundation.
Several workshops, marketing endeavors and administrative support.

ODAC has maintained a strong connection with The City of Orillia's Department of Culture and Heritage.
