Susan is a self taught artist who first discovered her passion for drawing and painting when she retired and moved to Oro-Medonte from Toronto. After some introductory classes from a local Barrie artist and online classes, she began growing her skills in graphite, watercolour, pastel and coloured pencil.
Susan paints primarily in watercolour and acrylic now and enjoys painting a variety of subjects in a realistic style. She especially enjoys the challenge of portraiture and loves trying to capture the soul of her subject(s) as she slowly watches them come to life on canvas.
