Matt Thomson studied the craft of fine furniture making in Victoria, BC while attending Camosun College where he learned the methods of traditional wood joinery techniques as well as designing custom, one-of-a-kind studio furniture. Matt lives in Severn and is where his workshop is located. He has helped complete many interior finish projects such as the Wenonah II during the time he and his father operated a finish carpentry business throughout Simcoe & Muskoka. He has participated in the Orillia Repair Café offering repairs to older furniture.
When Matt's not in the workshop he is pursuing his passion for wildlife conservation through education, photography and volunteer projects within the community. He manages a Facebook Page called Ardtrea Nature and is the steward for Bee City Severn; promoting the conservation of pollinators.
