After spending 34 years teaching (Art and Gifted) in the Durham Region, six years ago Linda moved to Orillia, where the "great outdoors" became her playground of choice, where hiking, skiing and snowshoeing opportunities lay at her doorstep.
The seasonal changing of the environment around her, has provided inspiration for her love of the natural and the creative spirit.
Painting primarily in acrylic, her landscapes are "at the intersection of reality and abstraction". She loves to experiment with colour and texture and often finds herself in the world of multimedia and thus creating works which wander into the world of abstraction.
Since living in Orillia, Linda has been actively involved in painting theatrical sets for the Mariposa Arts Theatre ( Orillia Opera House), participating in open studios, and consistently searching for new ways of creating self expression!
