Have you heard about The National Arts Drive yet?
On Saturday, June 6, 2020, artists and creatives in every medium are joining together in a massive moment across the country to raise awareness and financial support directly to independent artists. Artists, creatives and makers are invited to perform, showcase and display their creativity from front lawns, driveways, balconies and stoops during the same 3-hour period across cities and towns.
ODAC has joined forces with @RAWartistsCanada to also call on the local community to take a drive through city blocks and suburban streets using an interactive map that will mark performance and installation locations of participating artists. When drivers approach a location they’ll be able to donate directly to the artist from the safety of their car through a touch-free transfer.
There are no fees to participate. No ticket sales necessary. This is simply artists and arts organizations, joining together to help each other.
