The Orillia & District Arts Council is seeking nominations for the ninth annual Orillia & District Arts Awards to be held on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at 5:30 pm at the Geneva Event Centre.
The Arts Awards include four categories:
1. Educating in the Arts
2. Arts Achievement
3. Community and the Arts
4. Emerging Artist
The Educating in the Arts Award recognizes an arts educator, not necessarily a teacher by profession, who has worked on a consistent basis and in a variety of settings to promote artistic skills, knowledge, and creative expression to members of our communities. The Arts Achievement Award recognizes the art and/or activity of an individual or group that has made an outstanding artistic contribution to the cultural life of our communities. The Community Arts Award recognizes the highest level of inspiration and service of an individual, organization, or corporation to enriching the cultural fabric of our communities. Applicants may include arts patrons, volunteers, cultural organizations or corporate patrons. The Emerging Artist Award recognizes an individual of any age who is in the early years of launching a career in the arts and is working toward becoming a fully engaged artist.
The Orillia & District Arts Awards encompasses the communities of Rama, Ramara, Oro-Medonte, Severn, and the City of Orillia. We encourage nominations in all arts genres such as music, visual arts, performance arts, literary arts and many more.
Nominate your candidate and help celebrate our artistic communities! All nominations are due Friday October 26, 2018 at 4 pm, with Orillia Parks, Recreation and Culture or by email to email@example.com. No self-nominations please.ODAC-ARTS-AWARDS-Nomination-form-2018.pdf
