ODAC Board Grows Again

The Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Miranda McKee to our team. McKee spent the past ten years between Canada and the UAE developing contemporary art exhibitions and public programmes in collaboration with artists, art foundations and government organisations. She worked extensively with communities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Toronto to cultivate a feeling of connection, inspiration, and belonging through arts and culture initiatives.

Secretary/Treasurer Christine Hager comments “The energy and knowledge that Miranda brings to our organization will guide us even closer to our vision of a strong united creative community working together to enhance culture in our area.”

McKee is “hoping to support the goals of ODAC and make a significant impact here in Orillia”.
Board Directors include Lynn Fisher (Chair), Kathryn Kaiser, Dennis Rizzo and Peter Stranks, who are busy preparing for the upcoming Culture Day October 24 at Creative No- mad Studios.

ODAC Culture Days Collaboration With Creative Nomad Studios

Orillia District Arts Council, In Collaboration With Creative Nomad Studios, Has Been Selected For The ‘Day In The Life’ Community Series By Culture Days

The Orillia & District Arts Council is pleased to announce our upcoming collaborative participation with Creative Nomad Studios in Ontario Culture Days 2020. ODAC has been selected for the Day in the Life community series by Culture Days and will be profiled in Social Media, videos and ongoing promotion by their team.
On October 24, ODAC will host a smorgasbord of arts disciplines in the brand new Creative Nomad Studios 23 Mississaga Street West. All activities will be in compliance with COVID protocol at that time.
A diverse range of activities and presentations will be offered to the public.
“This will be a whirlwind day that will have something of interest for most people. We are grateful to Anitta Hamming for her fantastic venue and Parks, Recreation & Culture, City of Orillia for participant funding” commented Christine Hager, Secretary-Treasurer of ODAC.

Culture Days is being produced at Creative Nomads Studio with financial support from the City of Orillia Community Services Department.
