National Arts Drive – June 6, 2020

We are pleased to announce that the Orillia & District Arts Council has joined with @RAWArtistsCanada and other arts organizations in support of The National Arts Drive. The National Arts Drive is a National movement, community experience, and fundraiser for the creative culture impacted by this global crisis. ODAC is calling upon all artists and creatives around the country to join us on Saturday, June 6th to perform, showcase and display their creativity from front lawns, driveways, balconies, window sills and stoops during the same 3-hour period across cities and towns.

We’re also encouraging the community-at-large to drive city blocks and streets using an interactive map website that will mark performance and installation locations. When drivers approach a location they’ll be able to donate directly to the artist from the safety of their car through a touch-free transfer.

There are no fees to participate. No ticket sales necessary. This is simply artists and arts organizations, joining together to help each other.

Artists of all mediums can join the movement, sign up, and drop their map marker on: www.NationalArtsDrive.com

Please feel free to share this with your creative circle, friends and family.
