Call for Nominations!
The Orillia & District Arts Council welcomes nominations for our fifth annual Arts Awards. Once again, three ODAC awards will honour individuals or groups in the Orillia area that have made outstanding contributions to local culture and the arts.
- The Educating in the Arts Award, recognizing an arts educator (not necessarily a teacher by profession) who has undertaken to impart artistic knowledge, skill and creative expression to others on a regular basis and in a variety of settings
- The Arts Achievement Award, recognizing the art or activity of a person or group that has made an outstanding artistic contribution – visual theatrical, musical or literary – to the cultural life of the community
- The Community Arts Award, recognizing an individual, organization or corporation that has made a marked contribution to the cultural fabric of the community while possessing the highest standards of motivation and service. Recipients may include individual arts patrons, volunteers, cultural organizations and corporate patrons
- Emerging Artist Award, recognizing an individual of any age who is in the early years of starting a career in the arts and is working towards becoming a recognized artist while engaging with the community
